The Aztec Club of 1847 is closely aligned with the Order of Indian Wars of the United States. For the past several years, the annual April dinner meeting has been jointly held at the Belle Haven Country Club, Alexandria, Virginia.

Many of the officers in the War with Mexico were graduates of West Point in the era of 1830 and served the United States in the numerous Indian Wars. Furthermore, following the Mexican War, most went on to be major players in the Civil War. This link takes you to the OIWUS web site.

Richard H. Breithaupt Jr. President Emeritus of the Aztec Club of 1847, besides writing the magnificent 1,500 page Sesquicentannial History of the Club, has maintained the Club's primary, official historical website.

This site contains a rich history of the Club and the Mexican War, as well as the database of qualifying officers. This link takes you to Rick's website.

The HSC site is designed to bring together the elements comprising the hereditary society community, in an effort to create unity, foster relationships, and inform the public.  The entire project is non-profit, and has been initiated for the sole benefit of the Hereditary Society Community
